Our Programs
Real ensembles, hands-on classes, and community events — designed to build discipline, cultural pride, and a lifelong love of music in the next generation.
Where Talent Meets Opportunity
The Luminara Foundation partners with schools, churches, and community organizations to bring quality music education directly to youth who need it most. We provide instruments, professional-grade sound equipment, and paid opportunities for musicians and educators to teach, perform, and mentor the next generation.
Music & Ensemble Programs
Saint Theresa Mariachi
The Saint Theresa Mariachi is the Luminara Foundation's flagship ensemble — a community mariachi group rooted in cultural pride, musical excellence, and the spirit of giving back. Students learn traditional Mexican music in a structured setting guided by experienced professional musicians.
Beyond the music itself, the ensemble instills teamwork, performance discipline, and a deep sense of heritage — giving youth a cultural identity and a stage to shine on.
- Professional musician-led instruction and mentorship
- Instruments provided for all participants
- Live performance opportunities at community events
- Cultural education and heritage preservation
- Open to students of all experience levels
Youth Guitar Classes
Our beginner guitar program gives young students their first real introduction to music through one of the most accessible and expressive instruments there is. Classes are taught by paid, credentialed educators in a structured, encouraging setting.
Students build foundational technique, learn to read chord charts and basic notation, and gain the confidence that comes from making real music. This program is an entry point — many students go on to join the mariachi ensemble.
- Beginner-friendly instruction — no prior experience needed
- Guitars available through foundation support
- Small group and individual lesson formats
- Foundation in rhythm, chord progressions, and basic notation
- Recitals and student showcases
Youth Choir & Vocal Singing
The Luminara Foundation is launching youth choir and vocal singing classes for young singers who want to develop their voice, learn proper technique, and experience the power of collective music-making.
Choir builds more than musical skill — it builds community. Students learn breathing, posture, pitch, harmony, and stage presence in a supportive group environment led by experienced vocal educators.
- Vocal technique, breath control, and ear training
- Choral harmony and ensemble singing
- Opportunities to perform at community events and celebrations
- Open to all vocal ranges and experience levels
- Taught by professional vocal educators

Technology Access
Supporting underserved students by connecting them to technology resources, tools, and programs that open doors to careers in the modern economy.
Future Leaders
Pairing STEM education with leadership development — because tomorrow's innovators need technical skills and the character to lead with purpose.
